Intrigued by the things people have left at the death sites of loved ones, I began to photograph crosses by the side of the road a few years ago. I now have over two hundred in my collection. Still, I continue to seek the Markers that bridge life and death, public and private, and commemorate the lives of those both remembered and forgotten.
Teabag Quilt is a patchwork of times spent over cups of tea. Each bag, each memory, is dried and emptied then sewn together. Thus, individual memories collapse into one and a new creation is formed from the discarded times spent.
