Mixed media installation, 89(h)x32(w)x12(d) in.
In Preservation, specimens of everyday life - removed from floors, sidewalks, kitchen tables, and bathtubs - are bottled and preserved into a state of waiting. While it is clear what the objects once were, and what they have become in the gallery (i.e. culturally valued artworks), their future state remains unknown.
