In That’s the way she left things cracked china, frayed clothing, rancid spices and cigarette butts stockpile into a woman’s neurotic attempt to hold onto the remnants of each passing day. Given the title of the piece, the viewer cannot help but recognize the futility of our struggles to guard our lives against the onslaught of time.
